The Chronicle of Fredegar is the main source for her marriage and regency; relatively little else about her is documented, including her exact birth date, which is why this dossier's own account is appropriately sparse rather than inventing false specificity. Her setting-aside of Dagobert I's first wife Gomatrude to become his queen is recorded in the sources, though the personal dynamics behind it are not detailed enough to reconstruct with confidence.
