This is an original fictional character; no antagonist by this name or description appears in any historical or mythological source. His father, Crom Cruach, is a genuine figure from early Irish tradition — a pre-Christian idol associated with human sacrifice and the harvest, said to have been cast down by St. Patrick — but Armaeus's own existence, his dynamic with the Morrígan, and his central role in the series' cosmology are entirely the author's invention, built on top of that one attested mythological thread rather than drawn from it directly.
